The Hindu,The overall pass percentage of four government tribal schools in The Nilgiris– including three residential schools – has increased by 13.96 per cent this year to touch 96.77 per cent in the Class X board examination. Of the 62 students of the four schools who wrote the examination, 60 emerged successful. […]
While all 16 students who appeared in the exams this year emerged successful, the head mistress said that next year 28 students will appear in the SSLC board exam and that they would strive hard to get 100 per cent result.
Chief Education Officer T. Ganeshamoorthi said that efforts were under way to fill the vacancies in those schools to benefit students from tribal communities.
