Sanskritic Mancha Assam, a socio cultural organization since 1997, at Guwahati, has given regular workshops and performances within and outside the state and abroad under different organization viz.
ICCR (Ministry of External Affairs, Govt.of India), Festival of India Cell(FOI), Ministry of Culture,Govt of India, Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, National school of Drama, New Delhi,Zonal Cultural Center’s (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India), Assam tourism, Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Assam, Indira Gandhi National Museoum, Bhopal, Adivasi Lokakala Kendra, Bhopal etc., organizing of cultural workshop. The work undertaken by this organization has helped its students to get Govt. scholarships under HRD & CCRT (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India).
This organization has been doing some social work since its establishment. SMA giving “Barhamthuri Silpi award” to poor and needy artist in every year.
